"Closing Shop"

This site was intended to be used in place of flyers and newsletters, but due to lack of interest, it has been decided to discontinue the use at this time.

Because not everyone is interested in a site such as this, it became twice the work as information would be put here, but then a flyer would also need to be sent out (defeating the purpose)to those not using the site.

Those in our email database will still be sent information as needed (and sometimes previous to a flyer, which is beneficial strictly in the sense of being "in the know" earlier than the paper method). Emailing is also a great way of communication.

It would be great if we can get everyone on-board with checking one site for information, but until then conventional methods will be in place.

CORRECTION!!

The bright green flyer handed out to volleyball and football players at yesterday's practice (10/11/2011) was incorrect in MANY ways. If you received one, please discard it and continue to use the gold "updated" schedule handed out previously.

If you have any further questions about practices and games, please see your child's coach.

Up and Coming

PICTURE DAY is tomorrow, Oct. 12th. Remember, even if your child isn't ordering a package, they will be having their picture taken for the memory book (Jr/Sr High students will also have their picture used for their student ID card). If your child is ill tomorrow there will be an opportunity to have make up pictures on Monday, Oct. 25th.

UPDATED SPORTS SCHEDULES, for this week and next, are being sent home with the athletes(they received a seasonal updated version of this last week).
Players must find their own rides to and from Tuesday's game (10/12) as there will be no bus available for this game.

MISSIONS CONFERENCE SCHEDULE for the school next week is as follows:
Mon-Wed: Regular schedule
Thurs: 9:15-2:15 (Doors open at 9:00)-
Fri: No School

These days are set so our teachers and your family are able to enjoy this special time at TVBC.

JV Volleyball Tournament

On Saturday, October 2nd, TVBS will be hosting the JV Volleyball tournament. Games begin at 9AM with the awards expected to be handed out at 5PM.

This is a great opportunity to be a blessing to the other five teams. Also, the concession stand will be up and running to help fund our sports program.

Check your student's bag

All students received a wealth of information about fundraising. Our booster moms have put a lot of time in effort in helping our school earn extra funds in a variety of ways. Please look these over and see where you can help!

Also, a hot lunch schedule with the new way we'll be handling payments was sent home. Please be sure to look this over and help your child make sure payments are received on time.

Athletes were sent home with sports team guidelines and policies. While these are taken from the handbook it is important you read over it and discuss it with your child. THESE MUST BE SIGNED TO PLAY.
Your athelete was also given the address to our FIRST GAME TOMORROW!!! Please mapquest or google this address in Onatario if you wish to cheer the Saints on!
In addition, the bus will be making a stop at McDonalds before we head back to town. Please make sure your student has money or a sack lunch as it will be late. A snack for the ride there is highly recommended.

Those who did not receive a handbook at the meeting on Sunday evening were also sent home with additional papers.

If you did not receive any of these, please ask your child to see them.

Getting Ready

As we get ready for the first day of school, we would like to remind you of the mandatory parent/student meeting this Sunday previous to the evening service. Jr/Sr High parents and students need to meet in the chapel at 4:30. All parents and students will need to attend the 5:15 meeting.

If you have not yet sent your email address to us, please watch the mail for information on how to do this.

SAVE THOSE BOX TOPS. We will be participating the in the "Box Tops for Education" program to earn money for our school. More details as to where and how to turn them in will be sent soon.

Get a good night's rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and we will see you Thursday!!

PE Uniform Update

You will be able to purchase PE uniforms (as well as other items)at Bucksbags.com until Sept. 15th. This extension will only last until this date. All Jr. and Sr. High students MUST wear the designated PE uniform (uniforms from last year are acceptable as well).

If your younger student would like to change his clothes for PE (not required) the Bucksbags shirts MUST be worn or they will have to wear their polo.
